Congregations and houses of worship across Wallingford collaborated to hold a town-wide food drive benefiting Master's Manna.
The drive-though food collection was held on Saturday, September 17, and a great crew of folks from our church accepted contributions in the morning.
Then on to the Master's Manna site, where car- and truck-loads of food from the participating congregations were dropped off and weighed.
Over 4,600 pounds of all types of non-perishable foods were donated by the generous folks of Wallingford. $800.00 was also donated to support Master's Manna.
Our church alone contributed over 1,300 pounds of food!
Thank you to all the congregations and houses of worship who participated in this wonderful town-wide effort to help those in need: Faith Bible Church, First Baptist, First Congregational, First United Methodist, Most Holy Trinity Parish, St. John the Evangelist Episcopal, St. Paul's Episcopal, Wallingford SDA Spanish Church, Zion Lutheran and the Islamic Center of Wallingford.
And thank you to all who so generously contributed your gifts of food and funds!
