Holy Joe's Café

In 2006, members of the First Congregational Church in Wallingford started Holy Joe's Café, a ministry that was created to supply free coffee to chaplains at military bases around the world.

Our mission was simple: serving a little bit of home to those who serve our country.

From humble beginnings collecting cans of coffee at church, Holy Joe's has grown to serve millions of cups of coffee and helped open over 300 coffee houses throughout the world, mainly in the Middle East but also in places like Africa, Europe, and even on board Navy ships and in NATO military hospitals.

Dedicated volunteers arranged to have the coffee donated and shipped to wherever the need is greatest. Chaplains who minister to our military personnel have been very grateful for this important mission. "Your coffee has been so well received by our soldiers and the airmen in this installation. They kept smiling and asking, 'Who would do this for us?'" A.L.W.Captain US Army (Battalion Chaplain)

In fact, this ministry has grown so much that as of September 1, 2017, Holy Joe's Cafe' became it's own 501(c)3 non-profit organization!
