On Saturday, November 26, church members gathered to decorate our sanctuary in preparation for the Advent and Christmas seasons. This tradition of the "Hanging of the Greens" is always an occasion of great fun and fellowship.
The day began bright and early when men from the congregation cut down a gigantic and beautiful Christmas tree, and then hauled it into the church.
As they were strategizing and setting up the tree, the Board of Family Life prepared breakfast for those who had come to decorate the sanctuary. Once done with their meal, folks made Christmas cards and worked on crafts for the Sparkling Christmas Fair.
Then it was time to decorate! Wreaths were hung, the balcony was adorned with greens, and ornaments were placed on the tree.
