The 2019 Church Fair Made Our Spirits Bright!

The 2019 Church Fair, "Making Spirits Bright", certainly did that on Friday evening, December 6 and Saturday, December 7.

Our Church Fair has been a tradition here for well over 50 years. This is a festive event with opportunities to purchase handmade items, gently used treasures, have a delicious breakfast or lunch or get your picture taken with Santa.

Congregational Hall was transformed into a bright and cheerful Christmas scene of handmade wares, gifts from jewelry to handcrafted cards and ornaments, and warm fellowship between neighbors and friends.

We participated in Wallingford's Holiday Stroll on Friday evening. Our popular outside food tent served warm, hearty food, such as stuffed baked potatoes as big as "battleships" and beef stew in a bread bowl, as well as hand-warming hot chocolate.  Inside, the Fair bustled with the early birds looking for a special Chritsmas item.

Saturday included the usual FUN! Photos with Santa, crafts for all seasons, delicious breakfast and luncheon, holiday music, amazing gift baskets and lots of other gift giving options were available. Our talented crafters and artists created some new and special handmade gifts.

Our Cookie Walk is famous for it's array of homemade cookies, and we appreciate our youth helping people select just the cookies they want.

Santa and Mrs. Claus make an appearance, and everyone loves a photo with Santa!

We are so thankful to all who spend hours creating crafts, baking goodies, preparing and serving food, setting up, cleaning up, working at the booths, sharing  musical talents, buying stuff...the list goes on and on.  We appreciate the efforts of our Fair Co-Chairs, and all those who worked with them to make our Fair a success.

Great fellowship and community spirit radiated from our corner of Center and Main, and we were able to raise considerable funds for our budget as well!

See you next year at the Fair!
