We were off to see the Wizard....
On the first weekend of April, we were off to see the Wizard! First Church mounted a delightful production of "The Wizard of Oz." The cast was made up of church members of all ages.
We had a fabulous band, made up of church members and friends.
The journey began in Kansas.
And Dorothy ended up in Oz, where she is greeted by the Munchkins after being caught up in a tornado.
She makes friends with the Scarecrow.
And enters the land of Oz, where she encounters the Wicked Witch of the West, overcomes obstacles, and finds great kindness amongst the Ozians.
And the Wizard grants Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the TinMan and the Lion their fondest wishes.
Thanks to all who made this play a wonderful and blessed moment in the life of our church. From the actors to the crew behind the scenes, the parents of the children, the children, the musicians, the prop and scenery folks, the co-directors, all those who contributed in ways visible and invisible--you created magic.
