The First Congregational Church of Wallingford is governed by the members of the church, who exercise the right of control in all its affairs. The Church Council functions as a Board of Directors, and serves as the general coordinating and administrative body of the church. The Council is led by the Moderator and Assistant Moderator, who are elected by the congregation at the Annual Meeting. Representatives from the Boards and Committees serve on the Council.
The Annual Meeting of the church is held on the second Sunday in June. Members of Boards and Committees are elected, and the budgets and objectives for the year are adopted.
